Note: Lu Dinggong continued teaching after he left China for Hong Kong in the 1940s. In 1957, he taught in Han Jiang High School in Penang, Malaysia, but returned to Hong Kong later. In 1974 with a few friends he started Zhonghua Art Institution where he taught landscape and engraving classes. He published "Dinggong's analysis of painting" and "Talks on calligraphy, painting and engraving". Huang Yao was teaching in Han Jiang High School from 1959-1961. They were colleagues.
